F.A.Q.

HOW MUCH DO CUSTOM COOKIES COST?

Our vanilla bean sugar cookies are handcrafted in small batches with very high quality ingredients to coordinate with your event. The process starts with designing your order and continues for several days from start to finish. I take great pride in even the smallest of details, and time, skill, and effort go into each and every cookie I create for you. I want it to be as delicious and beautiful as it can be.

Our standard sized cookies (3"- 4") start at $60/dozen for basic one to two color designs with minimal details. Most of the cookies shown in our gallery have plenty of additional details which affect pricing such as handpiped lettering and flowers, airbrushed patterns, hand painting, gold leaf, custom stenciling/silkscreening/logos, packaging, etc. Most of these are in the $69-$87/dozen range.

We also offer some designs in a smaller size, approximately 2" with a 3 dozen minimum. These start at $30/dozen for minimal detail.

(Pricing subject to change.)

HOW DO I REQUEST A CUSTOM QUOTE?

Please complete the form on the INQUIRE page. Once I know the date, occasion, quantity, theme/color palette, level of detail, and type of packaging, I can check our availability as well as provide a custom quote to you.

HOW WILL WE COMMUNICATE ABOUT MY ORDER?

Email is the best way to discuss all the important details. It helps to keep a written record of details for quotes and pick up information. I do my best to reply within 2-3 business days--please be patient as my hands are often busy during the work week. (Replies may take longer during busy holiday seasons or during breaks throughout the year.) Quotes will be updated if any details are modified.

Please note, I do not like pestering anyone with extra emails, so I generally do not follow up after a quote is sent. If you send a request form, please check your spam folder for a reply (if it is not in your inbox) and reply so we can proceed with any final details and reserve your date. If you are no longer interested, sending a quick email to let me know is always appreciated!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I PUT IN A REQUEST?

It is never too early to book a date on our calendar. We generally book up 2-4 months in advance and often 6+ months for busier seasons or for large events such as weddings and graduations. Please note, certain time periods prior to some holidays are reserved for pre-orders or pop-ups only, so we are unable to take custom orders during that time. These may include, but are not limited to, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Back-to-School, Valentine's Day, and Easter. Summers are set aside for our family, so we do not accept orders during that time.

HOW CAN I RESERVE A DATE IF IT'S AVAILABLE?

After I send a quote to you and details are finalized, an invoice will be sent via email. Once paid, your date is reserved on our calendar. For orders under $300, full payment is required in order to reserve your date. For orders over $300, a non-refundable date retainer of at least 50% is required in order to reserve your date. Invoices for balances will be sent two to four weeks prior to scheduled pick-up date.

WHAT KIND OF PACKAGING IS OFFERED?

I heat-seal all cookies individually in a cellophane bag to keep them as fresh as possible. If you would like to give the cookies as favors, I can add a coordinating satin ribbon for an additional 65¢ per cookie. We have gift packaging (for individual cookies, small cookie gift sets, and sets of one dozen) available as well. Please inquire about pricing.

CAN COOKIES BE FROZEN?

YES! Our cookies freeze extremely well. We recommend freezing cookies if they are not going to be enjoyed within five days or so because we love fresh, soft cookies, and we want you to enjoy them that way as well. Once cookies are heat-sealed in cellophane bags, they will remain soft for about a week. They will become crunchy the longer you wait. If your desired date is not available, please inquire about picking up your order early and freezing. We will be happy to provide the simple instructions.

CAN I GET A DISCOUNT?

Ascreating more cookies leads to more ingredients/supplies, more time, and more use of our utilities, we are unable to offer discounts.

ARE THESE COOKIES NUT-FREE?

We do not use nuts in our cookies, but we are not a nut-free kitchen. Please visit the INGREDIENTS page for more information.

DO YOU SHIP?

We operate under the Michigan Cottage Food Law which prohibits shipping.

WHERE DO I PICK UP MY ORDER?

I schedule pick ups at a few locations in Downtown Milford, generally on Thursday or Friday afternoons. A specific time/location will be agreed upon about a week prior to the mutually agreed upon date. For orders over $300, delivery options can be discussed.

WHERE SHOULD I KEEP MY COOKIES BEFORE MY EVENT?

Cookies should be kept in a cool, dry area away from heat/sunlight. Cookies and handpiped details are very fragile, so please handle cookies with great care during transport and set up at your event. However, some damage may still happen even with the most careful handling depending on the design. If your event is more than five days from the pick up date, we highly recommend freezing the cookies (we can provide instructions.) If you are shipping cookies as a gift, please inquire about packaging recommendations.

CAN I BUY YOUR COOKIES IN A LOCAL STORE?

No, under the Michigan Cottage Food Law, we can only sell our cookies to our clients directly. We absolutely love when local shops and boutiques graciously host us for a "pop-up" and will post about any upcoming events on social media and in emails to subscribers.

DO YOU EVER SELL EXTRA COOKIES?

Sometimes we do have extras! These are posted on social media (Facebook or Instagram) as part of a flash sale. Be sure to follow us and turn notifications on so you do not miss seeing these posts.
